1963年、このフォークの一大イベントNEWPORT FOLK FESに登場するや「風に吹かれて」「しがない歩兵」「神が味方」などのプロテスト・ソングを歌い一躍フォーク界のニュー・リーダーとして脚光を浴びる事となったボブ・ディラン。混迷する自由の国アメリカ合衆国。根強い黒人への人種差別とベトナム戦争・・・
そんな時代の中、"モダン・フォークのプリンセス"ジョーン・バエズと共に、公民権運動・・・ワシントン大行進参加と二人は時代のアイコンとなって行きます。
